Community Room\, 2061 Lumber Valley Rd.\, Overgaard \nLimited to 50 attendees. \nRegister Here!\nLearn the basics about herbs and the many beneficial plants in your garden! \nYou will learn: \n\nThe Definition of Herbs\nBrief History of Herbalism\nKnow your Herb: Latin Names and why they are important\, perennial/annual/biannual\, the 12 categories of herbs\, and the energetic terms and properties of the herb.\nThe Go-To Herbs: Latin name\, description\, where to plant\, perennial/annual/biannual\, and properties/uses\nNative Herbs: Latin name\, description\, where they are found\, and properties/uses\n\nAbout the Speaker: Kayla McKernan was born and raised in the Heber/Overgaard area and has been gardening in her own garden for the past 20 years. Since childhood she has learned gardening from her grandparents and many other gardeners as well. Gardening is a vital part of her livelihood and essential to her family’s well-being. Her passion is herbalism and how herbs benefit our lives in the kitchen and the medicine cabinet. Josh Sotelo will assist in sharing knowledge of and care for the plants. Josh has also been gardening in their H/O garden for over 20 years and was raised gardening with his grandmother and father.
