This introductory session will guide you through the essentials of starting your own hive\, from choosing the right equipment to what type of bees are best for you to begin with.\n\nWe will learn:\n\n\nHow to get started\nEquipment needed to begin\nWhich hive is best for beginners\nWhat bee is best for beginners\n\n\nAbout the Speaker\, Greg Kruel:   I am a graphic designer and web developer turned beekeeper. While my beekeeping journey has been exciting and fun\, it was also frustrating at times. Not knowing what to do in the beginning when things went wrong\, making mistakes that decimated entire hives\, and accidentally killing a queen while marking her (yes I actually did this\, and was furious with myself). My passion for bees extends to educating others so they don’t feel alone in their beekeeping journey and can learn from my mistakes.\n \nExchange: Free for Garden Members + Friends of the Garden. \nNon-members: Suggested donation of $5.
