Learn practical ways to build fertile soil and maintain moisture and nutrients for plant health\, while incorporating permaculture strategies.\n\nYou’ll learn: \n\nOur Climate Challenges\nStrategies to Improve Water Retention\nSoil Amending\nPlanting Techniques to Beat the Wind\, Sun\, & Dry Air\nA Calendar to Keep on Task & a Guide to Learn About Your Home Soil\n\nWhat to bring? A soil sample if you’d like. We’ll be looking at some at the end of class.\n\nAbout the Speakers:  Katy Neild grew up gardening\, harvesting\, and preserving at with her grandmother in Northern New York. Most of her gardening experience has been in New York and Pennsylvania\, and she loves the challenge of learning to garden (more or less) successfully in Heber-Overgaard\, and recently became an Arizona Certified Master Gardener for High Elevations.
