Soil blocking may be for you! In this class\, you’ll learn reasons to choose soil-blocking\, three types of starting recipes\, an overview of some common herbs to grow in the house (or at least for the winter)\, and soil-blocking techniques\, tips\, and tricks. She has co-authored the regional guide Saving Seeds in the Southwest: Techniques for Seed Stewardship in Aridlands. Melissa has a PhD in Anthropology from Arizona State University where she investigated the sustainability of ancient farming practices in the Southwest.
