DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming activity: Community Garden Spring Clean-Up\, Build an Herb Spiral Workshop\, & Tool Sharpening!\n\n \nDate: Saturday\, March 22\, 2025\nTime: 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon\nLocation: HOCRN Community Garden\, 3450 Mustang\, Heber\, AZ\n\nWhat is Happening?\n\n\nStarting at 9 a.m.\, please help us get the garden in shape for the season! We will be doing general clean-up and working on a lovely flower bed along the front fence. We want to make sure our garden is beautiful for all to enjoy!\nStarting at 10:30 a.m.\, “PermaDave” Kincaid will lead us in an Herb Spiral Workshop! Learn about building an herb spiral while helping us add a community herb spiral to the garden’s center. We will have an informational handout to send home with participants.\n9 a.m. – noon: Bring those dull hoes\, trowels\, shovels\, etc.! Richard will be set up for all your Knife and Tool sharpening needs\, so you won’t have to work so hard! Pricing for sharpening is: hand pruners $3-4\, shovels $8-10\, hand trowels $4-10\, hoes $4\, manual hedge trimmers $10-12\, electric hedge trimmers $20.\nWhat to Bring/Wear: Closed-toe shoes and work gloves\, drinking water\, and a chair for resting or listening to the herb spiral teaching. If you have any river rocks or cardboard to donate for the herb spiral\, that would be great! Also\, bring a rake or other favorite garden tool if you’d like.
