The Power of Worms: Vermicomposting for Beginners

Location: Heber-Overgaard Fire Station (PLEASE NOTE LOCATION CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER!)
We will learn the basics of Vermicomposting including:
  • How to create habitat for worms enabling them to supply powerful natural amendments to the soil food web for healthier, more nutritious, and tasty plants!
  • Care and feeding of worms to benefit the garden
  • How to use worm castings to support your garden biodiversity
  • The Power of Worm Tea for your garden + How to Make Worm Tea
  • How to create an IN-BED worm bin for increased natural amendments for your garden.
What to bring:
  • Pen + Paper to take notes
About the Presenters: David Kincaid + Alyssa Rose
David Kincaid AKA “PermaDave” CEO of Northern Arizona Permaculture in Heber is a Permaculture Designer and educator with a passion for water harvesting and food sovereignty for all working with homesteaders in the area as well as projects worldwide to promote healing of our planet for future generations to enjoy clean water, sustainable housing, and healthy food.
