How to Grow with Us
There are several ways to become a part of the GrowTogether Garden here in Heber-Overgaard!
- You can rent a garden bed (we have a few beds left) and learn with us with hands-on experience and harvest your own vegetables or flowers. To become a garden bed member, grab yours today by filling out the 2025 Bed Rental Agreement.
- Be sure to review the Gardener Guidelines!
- Once the beds are gone, you’ll want to Get on the waiting list.
- You can become a “Friend of the Garden” for only $15 a year and your membership includes free attendance at all classes and special access to garden events. Become a Friend of the Garden.
- You can sponsor a garden bed to highlight your organization or business while engaging with the community. Become a sponsor.
- You can donate to an amazing cause to benefit our community as we build relationships and sustainability. Donate here.
- You can volunteer to help whenever we have garden work days with tasks like pulling weeds or moving dirt. You can help us with publicity in getting the word out to local businesses and residents. You can help us set up events and classes and help us welcome guests. Or, you can serve on one of our committees and share your expertise.

Sponsor a Garden
We invite your business or organization to join us in growing a healthier and more vibrant community. You can partner with us to sponsor one of our garden beds or contribute toward ongoing and new projects. Here’s what you can expect:
- You get kudos! GrowTogether Garden sponsors will be recognized on our website, social media channels, and with signs at the garden site and on the beds.
- You serve a good cause! In addition to helping underserved individuals and families grow fresh and nutritious food, your sponsorships provide self-reliance and sustainabilty in our community.
- You make it all work! Your sponsorship provides operating costs like irrigation lines, mulch, compost, tools, and equipment that keeps things growing.
- You create team building! Invite your staff to participate in our garden events and at work parties. Build relationships, engage with the community, and unite your employees.

Make a Donation
A donation to the GrowTogether Garden helps in many ways. It provides families the opportunity to learn how to grow, eat, and preserve the best-tasting and healthiest food at a fraction of the cost. Your generosity and community involvement helps us:
- Expand our opportunities. We are able add more beds, build a greenhouse, and maintain the existing equipment, beds, and irrigation lines.
- Help those in need. We can offer some gardeners discounted beds so they can grow produce to donate to others in need, including the senior center and the local food bank.
- Teach our community’s youth. We are able to offer classes and educate students about self-reliance and how to avoid food insecurity (in hard times and in plenty) and incorporate science into their real worlds.

How to Volunteer
If you are interested in gardening, engaging with our community, or supporting sustainability and self-reliance, this is the place for you. There are all sorts of ways to volunteer your time at GrowTogether Garden.
Yes, it is true that much of the volunteer work involves the garden maintenance like raking and weeding at our work “parties.” But, there are also opportunities to help coordinate events and classes, welcome guests, assist with publicity, and even a bit of errand running if that is more your style. You can decide how involved you would like to be. Whatever you do, you will engage with one of the most amazing communities on the mountain!
