About the Speaker: Josh Sotelo has lived in the Heber/Overgaard area for over 35 years. He has had his garden for more than 20 years and was raised in the garden with his grandmother and father. Josh has extensive knowledge of gardening and what plants need to thrive in our area. Kayla McKernan was born and raised in the Heber/Overgaard area and has also been gardening in their garden for 20 years. Since childhood, she has learned gardening from her grandparents and many other gardeners. Gardening is a vital part of her livelihood and essential to her family’s well-being. Her passion is herbalism and how herbs benefit our lives in the kitchen and the medicine cabinet. Josh and Kayla own Rim Roots Growing, LLC.
